Collection: Bert Teunissen
Bert Teunissen (born 1959 Ruurlo, Gelderland) is a Dutch photographer who, since 1996, has documented European homes built before World War II and their inhabitants in his book Domestic Landscapes: A Portrait of Europeans at Home. Teunissen has photographed houses built before electricity was common in order to preserve a quickly disappearing part of Western European life and culture. He later added images from Japan to his project.
DAZZLE is a dazzling new study by Teunissen about form, movement, body language and patterns; as it were, a sketch or a note in an attempt to interpret the street, its people and the time itself. Teunissen made his photo series during two walks in London and New York. It is an analogue story that originated in the dark room, which was created for pleasure and meant to be enjoyed by a large audience.
DAZZLE is the second publication of Bert Teunissen in collaboration with graphic designer Hans Gremmen and publisher Fw:Books.
